meet patricia
Patricia Duarte always loved to travel and to get to know the world and other cultures. She was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, and started doing yoga in 1999 in Cologne, Germany where she graduated in Languages.
A free spirit, so she enjoys traveling and living in other cultures, and while looking to give a spiritual meaning to her life, she started practicing Yoga 1999, then lived in Costa Rica for 10 years, where she became a mom.
With the yoga and reiki practice she decided to change her life and become a yoga teacher, therapist, and healer.
Patricia ^Padma^ does energy treatments like Reiki Usui, Chakras Balancing Thai Yoga, and Sound Healing with singing bowls.
Patricia is also a certified in Sound Healing with Gongs and Tibetan singing bowls by the Peter Hess Academy in Germany.
She created Padma Yoga Center in 2009 in Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica and 2013 in Lisbon (Portugal).
Since 2011 Patricia is a certified 1000 hours Senior Experienced Yoga Teacher by Yoga Alliance International. Now with more than 5000 Hours of teaching experience, she delivers the 100, 200 and 500 hours yoga teacher trainings.
She also studied Tao Tantra with Mantak Chia, Trauma sensitive yoga and Somatic Sexuality.
Patricia then created Shakti Yoga Dance, a mix between Yoga and Dance. She previously learned Samba and African dance in Germany and Salsa and Merengue in Costa Rica. Shakti Yoga Dance shares all her knowledge, it is influenced from her dancing experience and Tantra Yoga, Reiki, Meditation and Taoism practice.
Patricia gives private Yoga therapy sessions, and is highly experienced in yoga for women, trauma yoga , tantra and taoism.
